We came upon a wonderful old building in February, 2005 in downtown Strathroy and spent the next five months renovating. During the past 100+ years, it's been a furniture store, a bank, Strathroy Police, (jail cells now being used as a prep area) and the YMCA.

Now it's the UpFront! We've met great people who helped us settle into our new town; they've become our friends and customers. In our 3rd year, we built our 1600 square foot stone and steel Courtyard Patio out back, we filled it with music, flowers, and a full kitchen with wet bar.

Our cafe has evolved into three distinct dining experiences:
Lunch is served Tuesday to Friday, and includes fresh daily salads and soups, grilled sandwiches, and hot daily specials. Service is casual; takeout is available.

On Friday and Saturday nights. The room transforms, decked out with linen, stemware, and candles with a European fine dining feel. Dress is casual. Reservations are highly recommended; do let us know any dietary concerns when you call so we can accommodate your needs.

In the summer we extend the restaurant onto our courtyard, and offer a varied menu, consisting of some of our favourite international creations, extensive grilled items, fun starters, and light summer meals. Reservations are highly recommended.

We love to host private parties; birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, and other special occasions. Call us to discuss your needs at least two weeks in advance.
